Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

Not at all. The tool asks for your gender, date of birth, your health in your own words, whether you use tobacco, the coverage amount you want, and the term length. Those answers alone are enough for the carriers to return rates. We don't collect your name, address, or email to show you quotes.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They're the monthly costs that each carrier quotes for the health level you selected. After underwriting, the carrier may move you to a different rate class, which would change the final cost. What you see here is an estimate, not an insurance offer or a price guarantee.

What happens when I click Apply?

You choose a carrier from your results and click Apply. The secure application continues on the carriers' platform, already filled in with what you told us. You can pause and resume later, and you sign with your electronic signature. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), handles the application process.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the amount you're applying for, and your answers. Most carriers today have fast-track programs that skip the exam for applicants who meet their criteria. Each quote on this site tells you whether an exam is required, might be needed, or isn't needed.

Is a longer term better?

It should cover the years when someone depends on your income: a mortgage that won't be paid off for twenty years, children who need support until they're independent, or a business loan. Longer terms lock in your rate for longer, which costs more per month but gives you certainty. The quote tool lets you try 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years.

Does this site sell my information?

No. We don't collect your name or email to show you quotes, we don't sell or share the information you give us, and our measurement doesn't use cookies. Read the privacy page for a complete list of what we collect and who has access to it.
